CheckbookDash ("the App", "we", "our") is a personal finance register application for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how it is stored.2. Data We Collect
We collect no personal data whatsoever. Specifically:We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
We do not collect financial account numbers, bank credentials, or any sensitive financial identifiers.
We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
We do not use analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, or advertising SDKs of any kind.3. Data You Enter Into the App
You may enter transaction records (payees, amounts, dates, categories, and notes) and customized category rules into the App. This data is:Stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework (a local on-device database).
Never transmitted to our servers — because we have no servers.
Never shared with third parties.
Accessible only to you on your device.4. iCloud
The App includes an optional iCloud Sync setting. If enabled in a future version, data would sync via your own personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. In that case, data would be governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We would have no access to any data stored in your iCloud account.In the current version of the App, the iCloud Sync toggle does not transmit any data.5. CSV Import and Export
The App allows you to import and export transaction data as CSV files. Files are processed entirely on your device. We do not receive, access, or store any files you import or export.6. No Third-Party Services
CheckbookDash does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, analytics platforms, or payment processors. The App operates entirely offline and makes no network requests.7. Children's Privacy
CheckbookDash is rated 4+ and is suitable for users of all ages. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we have no special processes relating to children's data. The App does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else.8. Data Retention and Deletion
All data entered into the App is stored locally on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the App from your iPhone. Once the App is deleted, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.9. Security
Since all data remains on your device, it is protected by your device's built-in security features (screen lock, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS data protection). We do not have access to your data and therefore cannot be responsible for any unauthorized access that results from a compromise of your device.10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.11. Contact
